    I buy mine at Midway (midwayusa.com). They have a flyer every month, they usually have them on sale in there a couple time a year. They have a black one now that costs less than the gold ones.

    I also got mine at midway. Works ok, but I still get some rust in a damper basement. Get the biggest that will fit in your intended space and you should be fine.

    You know, I've been thinking about the goldenrod and other small space heaters such as these.

    I purchased what I call a "pig heater" for my little dogs' beds. These are typically used to keep little pigs warm. They don't get too hot, just warm. I cover them with a thin blanket and the dogs sleep on them when it is cold. So, these could be a good alternative for the safe heaters such as the goldenrod. I think they get warmer. Get them at larger pet stores. They consist of a thin plastic case with an element sandwiched in and with an electric cord.
