left handed for right hander

I recently bought a left handed Remington 700 in 30/06 because it was so beautiful with a custom heavy barrel. Trouble is I'm right handed. Other than learning to cycle the bolt with my right hand (like the GI did in Saving Private Ryan), is there anything I need to learn how to do because it is left handed? Any lefties out there that might know?

Learn to work the bolt with you left hand. It will be faster once you get used to doing it.

When shooting a right handed bolt action rifle left handed I generally roll the rifle to the left so that the bolt is up. this makes it easier to chamber a round with my left hand. I do have to watch out for flying brass when I eject a spent case in that position though.

Pagen has it right. Been doing that for.....well....a LONG TIME!
With a little practice I managed to hold my own in the rapid fire stages of High-Power Rifle competition. You could be looking at trouble if you use a scope that sets well back of the rear bridge.
    Mostly, it's mind over matter.
