How much would a HY HUNTER INC. FIREARMS MFG CO. Hollywood, California, Western Six Shooter Model, 44 Magnum, Made in Western Germany...that's in pretty good shape be worth? And does anyone have any history associated with this pistol? Thanks

I've seen them go from $225 and up over the last few years. Cowboy shooters might pay more.

It's a good quality revolver, as it was made by Sauer. Hy Hunter was a importer/distributor located in Southern Calif. Your revolver probably dates to the 60's. There will be dated West German proof-marks on the revolver.

Although the Sauer's were excellent quality revolvers, and sold for the same money as Ruger's. You will be hard pressed to get decent money out of it nowadays. Most folks associate Hy Hunter guns, as being of cheap shoddy quality. My WAG if it's functional and looks to be in half way descent cosmetic condition? It will be in the $150-$300 range.
