    first there was grendel....then that became kel-tec...then employees broke off to form skyy...my info ??? had one grendel small 380 long ago to lite & kicked hard & couldn't hit anything so it was gone

    They build a 9mm pistol that is similar to the Kel-Tec p11(?), but they have reliability problems with many of the guns. They have recently had to change their name to Sccy, still pronounced as "sky", due to a trademark infringement lawsuit brought by Skyy Vodka.

    Their guns are a nice size and look pretty good and they have supposedly resolved the problems with many of the early guns. However I have two, one of which is now reliable and the other is nonfunctional. I can not recommend them as a defense weapon.

    The guns are knock-offs of Kel-Tecs, and the owner of the company is a former Kel-Tec employee (I think a former VP).

    They're made in Florida (as are Kel-Tecs). They have an external safety (unlike the Kel-Tec 9mm p11 that they are copied from).

    I don't know anyone who has tried one that thinks they are superior to the Kel-Tecs they are copied from, where as I *have* heard the contrary
    (ie that they aren't as good).
