Does anybody know if these were made exclusively for the savage shotguns or will they fit most barrels? I'm looking at one on auction for my 20 ga. (20-410). I like the fact they are a bit longer than the other brands of insert. I know briley makes full length tubes but quite honestly they cost as much as what I could get a used 410 for.

Used them for years with a 12 ga. Winchester 101 skeet gun. Mine shot 2.5" and 3" 410's so I could use them for 28ga competition by using a 3" 410. They do pattern well up to about 30 yds, then all over. Based on seeing some of the short "skeeter" tubes, the longer inserts were better. They will fit "most" guns.
They do weigh a bit and will change your swing (if you are a follow thru shooter). I haven't used mine in 20+ years since I own an all gage set, better then the others, but not as good as full length or a complete gun.

    Best of luck

Thanks. I have a lightweight tristar 20 gauge and would like to be able to occasionally shoot 410s (I have about 700 reloads) for pigeon removal at the farm.
