Alright, I have a rifle up for auction that is C&R Eligbile, that?s all I know (it?s also a rifle btw). I do not have a C&R or FFL. If the bidders that wins has a C&R do I just ship it to them without having to send the rifle through an FFL dealer or what?

A friend of mine just got his C&R. Where can you get a Bound Book? Is there anything he needs to do before using his C&R?

Can a C&R holder receive an elidgible firearm for a non licencee the same way an FFL does? Or would the C&R holder have to buy the gun and then sell it to the non licencee?

Anybody acquainted with CR FFL process? I have forms from BATF. Should I go speak with Chief of Police (aquaintance of mine from many NRA dinners)before I begin. He does have to sign off on it anyway. I do live in that great, freedom loving state of New Jersey...only because of family and work, believe me.

I do collect a fair amount, enjoy the older military stuff to shoot w/ my kids and would like, at some point to get into full auto. I do have addresses in NY and PA. but need to be squeaky clean and to the law as my profession requires fiduciary licensing.

Any help, tips etc. would be greatfully appreciated.

    Merry Christmas to all![:)][?]

I'm selling an old Martini (over 50 years old) with a new .222 Remington barrel. Prospective buyers are telling me it's a C&R. Is it? If you say "yes", please post an ATF reference.

    Thanks

No, not from the BATFE. Called a "Bound Volume", you record make, model, serial number, who you got it from, when- and that is under acquistions. Same thing for a gun you get rid of- when, what, who, where to. No serial number? "None found" in that column.

A "bound volume" was a book with stitched pages, so that if one was missing it showed. Now you CAN use a computer system IF it meets BATFE requirements.

BTW, my "Bound volume" came from Dollar General, book with stitched binding, hard cover. $2. Pen and ruler create columns. Tape a envelope inside back cover for copies of FFLs you recive from or send to.

You CAN buy a Bound Volume from Brownell's.

A bound book for C&R is easy to make, they do NOT have to be stiched pages, here is the clip from the ATF
quote:(E1) What is a "bound book?" [Back]

A "bound book" is a permanently bound book or an orderly arrangement of loose-leaf pages which must be maintained on the business premises. The format must follow that prescribed in the regulations, and the pages must be numbered consecutively.

    [27 CFR 478.121 and 478.125]

You can go here http://www.cruffler.com/boundbook2.pdf and print all the pages you need, keep them neat in a 3 ring binder and you have a bound book
