i read somewhere that the barrel is threaded for 1/2-28 threads, but now i can not find that statement, all the photos of this carbine do NOT reveal there are any threads, can anyone who owns one help clear up this question for me ?

thank you.

The ones I've seen arent threaded at all.. the barrels themselves are manufactured by Thompson Center.

Are you sure it was A smith? Colt is also makeing a dedicated 22lr Ar rifle, and it has a flash supressor...

Just a friendly FYI: Sig Sauer is makeing a dedicated 22lr model of its sig556.

The Colt barrel is threaded, but the flash supressor has a shoulder that centers the inner barrel, like the Walther P-22. In fact they are the same thread size.
