American Bulldog question (Mr. Goforth)

I have what appears to be the same pistol as listed in Mr. Goforths New collectable section of his Iver Johnson webpage. My question is, How would I determine if mine is a first or second model, and where could I find a loading gate for it.
Thanks, yblockhead

If your ABD is like the one he shows, with dog head grips, it's a 2nd model. The 1st model has a sharp corner at top of frame rear of hammer, and eagle design or plain grips.

Thanks for the wealth of information! As I mentioned earlier, mine is a clone of the one that you have pictured on your site. If I had good photos of the loading gate, I could probably make one myself, if the references you mentioned come up dry.
Thanks again,
Richard
