    It appears to be the 4th Model, of the 32 Double Action. Don't have a specific date. But very likely mid 1880's.

    No question it's a pre 1898 antique as far as the feds are concerned. Some 01, FFL dealers who sell on the auctions. Are very reluctant to just drop something like this S & W, in the mail to the winning bidder though.

    As long as.32 S & W ammo is still available, and the it's functionable. They will only send it through a FFL.

    A lot of this has to do with local and State laws regarding handguns. You bet your sweet bibby in New York or one of the other libtard States. The seller would be getting himself in serious hot water for shipping it through the mail to a local resident.

    Looks like a 3th version to me. 1882 to 1883. For your next ?...NO
    FFL needed.[:D]
