Is there any way to mount a laser sight on a ruger P95 that doesn't have a built in rail?

Not really. Buying one with a rail is the best option. The railed ones don't fit most holsters made for the older 95's either.
I've seen some individual cases where a mount had been screwed and/or glued to the frame ahead of the trigger guard but have reservations about the integrity such attachments. I've tried the mounts that clamp to the trigger guard and haven't found one that retains alignment satisfactorily.

I don't think "laser" (doing my Dr. Evil) is going to help the Ruger. Don't that thing got enough metal under there to cut out a pic. rail?

I wonder if Crimson Trace made grip lasers for the Ruger? I suppose you could go old school and find the one that you can mount on the trigger guard.

JB Weld is your answer [:D].

Actually, there is NO metal in the lower frame of a P95.
