Greetings all.
This here question goes on behalf of my friend who owns a Kimber Stainless Pro TLE/RL II.
He describes the gun as coming only to half cock after the first shot. He states the problem started with ejector problems, for which the ejector, the ejector spring, the recoil spring, and main spring were replaced by a friend of ours with some experience on 1911's. The ejector issue was solved, however, now arose the hammer problem.
I don't know much about 1911's. Would you please point us in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

Have a knowledgeable person disassemble the pistol. And check the mainspring for proper assembly and function. If it wasn't assembled correctly in the mainspring housing? The problem you describe might be the result.
When the slide goes back the fireing pin retainer cocks the hammer. The pistol is coming to full cock just not staying there[xx(][:(]
My friend swapped back to the original recoil spring, and now the gun works perfectly!
Once again, thanks all for the useful advise.
