Generally yes it should be a very good fit. Most flat blade screwdriver's are wedged shape in profile which is wrong for gun screws. Usually gun screwdriver's are "hollow" or "flat" ground in profile.

Good quality isn't cheap but will last lifetimes without causing damage, Buy once Cry once.

I like Apex brand bits and grind them down to a perfect fit.

In a word, YES. The screw driver blade should fill the slot in the screw head from side to side and end to end. Otherwise the torque will be applied wrong or at worst, the screw driver slips and you wind up with a buggered up screw head. Either buy a professional set of gunsmith screw drivers or go to your local lardware store and buy a bunch of inexpensive screwdrivers and grind them to fit the screw you are working on.

Grace tools make excellent screwdrivers and many are designed for specific firearms. If they do not have the screwdriver that you need, just give them a call and they will make it for you.

In a word or two, Yes, they should fit near perfectly. As mentioned, they should be HOLLOW GROUND, so the two leading edges are flat, and parallel, with each other. It should be the same width, and thickness of the slot it is going to be used in.

A good set, or a good affordable set that will last a lifetime says Brownell's on it. There are better out there, and there are also lesser. YMMV.

If you want a starter set, Williams makes a pretty good one - look in sportsman's guide OR go to Brownells, they have a good set too....

Special sizes need to be ground, as all others have said, but these two sets are a great place to start! JMHO

I like my red handled Forester's. Also have several that I have reground from broken Torx drivers.
