Shipping to France

I have a French 1873 ordnance revolver that a gentleman in France would like me to ship to france if he wins. I do not know the legalities for shipping an Antique to france? Can I ship this to France as a Private seller?

    This particular gun is legal to purchase and own in framce without any license.I do not remember if there is any registering needed,let me see what I can dig out.
