BAR trouble??

I have a new BAR Safari 308. It will snap on a shell about every third time. You can load the clip, chamber one, then fire, it will snap on one of the four. It isn't b/c the action isn't sliding all the way forward since it doesn't just do it on the first shot. It doesn't hit the shell hard enough to mark it. After the snap, you can pull bolt back just far enough to cock it and then it will fire. It does this with all types of ammo. Any suggestions??

If your bolt locks up properly it sounds like your misfires are probably due to either debris or a burr inside the bolt that randomly restricts the firing pin. I'd remove and disassemble the bolt then go from there.
