Need rifle model for barrel marked Model 70 SA Cal 243 Winchester.
It weighs 34 oz. and is 22", no sights or setscrews.
Also, were there grades of the XTR featherweight?
Mine has iron sights but that model is listed as being without sights
in my catalog.

It could be off the USRAC Model 70 LIGHTWEIGHT. It was similar to a featherweight, and made on the pushfeed action, that didn't have the CLAW type extractor. It has a stock similar to the sporter, with a more slender forend, but it was not a schnable style foreend either. They were considerably less $$ than a sporter or featherweight, too.

How about the XTR with iron sights? Were there grades of this model since Std Cat of Firearms states it came w/o sights?
