As far as shooting is concerned. 7mm Mauser, is nonexistent on the surplus market any more. Buying commercial 7mm Mauser, is pricy shooting nowadays.

The wood at least has been refinished. Without other photos it's hard to tell if it's been reblued also? Kind of a bummer value wise, for resale purposes. Does a number on collectors value.

Rufe-It could be one that was re-chambered to 7.62 NATO.. pdibar- look for a 7.62 stamp, and to be sure have a shop or gunsmith take a look before shooting..

Be sure and confirm the caliber (edit- just noticed the 7.62 stamp in the auction photos.. You're good to go).. Also, you'll get some flack since it isn't truly 'original' condition, with the refinished wood.. Nice looking gun though.. Good luck with the auction..
