Sorry I'm new at this didn't know about the 10 post thing on the expert form. Please look at the pics on first topic and let me know if you think my gun is original or redone, also the guns estimated value. Thanks for the help. Thank you perry shooter for being understanding, I am not a computer guy and my wife helps me, but she don't really care about guns.

The two Pictures show a very nice condition 1911A1.
We need pictures of both sides of the slide and both sides of the frame. We need to see all marks and numbers on both parts. normally we would also be interested in the barrel Markings but you already gave us that in your First post. The barrel is a POST WW II barrel . So the pistol was rebarreled at some time Before it left Military or it may have been rebarreled in the last year. I currently have three NOS barrels just like Yours "same Drawing number". They were only originally sold to the Military but when the Model 92 Beretta was adopted these barrels were sold on the open surplus market.Because your pistol is a 1911A1 it has a Parkerized finish . This finish is very hard to tell if original or redone. . Can you take the grips off and get a picture of the grip-screw Bushings from the inside of where
they come through the frame. It is really hard to tell without a hands on inspection on if your pistol is original Finish. With more pictures "best to take out side with lots of natural light. I will be happy to add to any reasons I come up with an opinion. regarding original finish or WHOM rebuilt it . "PRAISE THE HARD-BALL GUN" Perry Shooter.
EDITI like. We need all markings in the both side of the frame.what I see so far looks good The grips were made By KEYSTHE The G on the frame near the disconnector hole Is For GOVERNMENT contractYou need to measure the length of the writing on the slide from Front edge of the letter R Remington to the period at the end of the letter C in INC
EDITII We need you to help us help You. The devil is in the details to know EXACTLY what you have. I only see 2 pictures one of frame and the other of slide and 2 grips.. There are 3 types of slides 1,2,3 Some have NEW YORK address others have N.Y.C. some are 1.2 inches long and others are 1.35. We need picture of serial number on frame to see if it is correct for what type 1-3 your slide is the p is valid on top of slide for all three type slides. does your slide have a mark next to the firing pin hole that can only be seen with the firing pin retainer removed. We need detail pictures of the Checkering on both the slide stop pin and safety. we need detailed pictures of the checkering of the Hammer spur from both the top and side view with measurements with dial caliber if possible. also front surface of trigger and of the mainspring housing. These are things one can see in 20 seconds of a hands on inspection but without them
opinions will just be a WAG.

OK I can see more pictures But this ask more questions than it answers
I look at the frame one time and think it has been refinished because some markings are very light to a point of being incomplete. The F & part of J should actually be F J A for inspector F J Atwood. The correct inspector for Remington Rand pistols Cross cannons is very lightly struck as well. THE grip screw bushing have been replaced and don't look finished as I would hope by arsenal rebuild and it has no marks to denote arsenal rebuild. I however think you should wait for second opinion or even third . we still have not addressed the small parts and if they are correct type for your Remington Rand. You can edit your post or add to them and they don't count as one of ten post before this question will again be LOCKED

Very sorry for all the trouble, I'm trying to learn. The mainspring housing is 8 grooves, has a G below firing pin hole, grooved slide stop, checkered thumb safety, and the trigger looks checkered. thanks for being patient.
