I recently purchased a slide assembly for the Smith & Wesson Model SW40F. The slide itself is not useable as the loop on the front end is broken off. How do I remove the slide end cap to get to the firing pin? Also how do I remove the extractor and striker safety plunger and spring? Any help will be appreciated.

Your pistol is more commonly known as the S & W Stigma. They were made in 9mm as well as 40 cal. There are a bunch of disassembly videos on U Tube.
Not sure if that's a Freudian slip, or a deliberate bit of snark, but these are (maybe) better known as the Smith SIGMA.
The "stigma" is that the guns were known for really long heavy gritty trigger pulls, and some of the earlier ones had functional issues. The other "stigma" is the Glock successfully sued Smith over copying their Glock design with this pistol.
Anyway, the answer to your question is here. You can pry off the slide end cap with a screwdriver to access the firing pin assembly. One you slide out the firing pin, the extractor just slides out, and so does the firing pin block safety with spring.
