You will have to give a few more details for someone to come up with an estimated value.

Need more information. Is the barrel brass or iron? Is the carriage with it and is the carriage iron or wood? Barrel length and caliber? Any and all markings, please.

This listing came from the "Kenrick Clafin Nautical Antiques Catalogue". Have no idea if this is similar to your outfit but it will give an idea what the dealers are asking for there Colston Guns.

22331. COSTON SUPPLY CO SHOULDER LINE GUN OUTFIT. Complete line gun includes 45-70 cal. line gun with wooden stock, complete case, 2 boxes of 45-70 heavy load line gun cartridges, seven projectiles, cleaning rod, line and canister. It is extremely unusual to find a Coston Supply line gun outfit, especially in as complete condition as this. Gun is marked "Coston Line Throwing Gun, Coston Supply Co. New York, USA." Serial. No 832. The Coston Company is famous for providing signals and flares to the Life-Saving Service and Revenue Cutter Service, Coast Guard and Navy and others since the 1860's and continued well into the 20th Century. After Mr. Coston's death, his wife Martha Coston traveled to sell night signals and other items that her husband Franklin had developed. Widowed and in financial difficulty, she traveled to introduce the signals and line guns into the navies of the world and win proper recognition of her husband's talents. Gun is in excellent condition but outfit has not been cleaned in years and has been exposed to some moisture. It needs a complete cleaning and oiling but can be most presentable with a bit of work. An extremely rare museum quality piece. $420.
