Baretta 8040 Trigger Pull Adjustment

I own a Baretta 8040 in .40 S&W and would like to know if it is possible to adjust the long trigger pull on this pistol. I would also know the pros and cons of doing this, if possible. I use the gun for target shooting. Many thanks.[:)]
