I'M NOT AN EXPERT IN BRANDS, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO BUY A 22CAL HANDGUN AND I DON'T HAVE A CLUE AS IF I SHOULD BUY A JENNING'S OR ANOTHER BRAND THATS A GOOD GUN AND NOT SO EXPENSIVE, PLEASE INFORM ME OF WHAT I SHOULD BUY, THANX.[?]

Jennings are not known for quality in their firearms. I would personally recommend a Ruger .22 as they will give you everything you want in quality and accuracy. You can find the Mark II model for around $200 with some luck.

I have to agree. You just can't go wrong
    with a Mark II![^][^][^]
I realize they cost a bit more, but you
    won't regret it.

Don't even think about a Jennings if you don't have money to waste.re-sel value is nil,and they jam, jam, jam.
There is no such thing as a good cheap handgun, rifle, whatever.Cheap is cheap, period.!
Save a bit of money and go with a Ruger. They are the best value for the money, bar none.

    give CAS a try,it is a hoot!!

The answer you have gotten is the only one you will get. Yep, they are cheap, but how much fun is an afternoon shooting if you spend most of it clearing jams. You should be able to find a decent used Ruger, or Browning Buckmark .22 or even a new one here on the board for less than 300. It is more, but anything spent on a Jennings or Bryco is money wasted.

I thought Jennings and Bryco went out of business.

Well I for one do not agree with what has been said about Jennings. I have a few tied to the anchor line of my boat and they stop it just fine. If I'm not in a strong curent.

You'v gota kill it to grill it

Just take a look at the GB auctions. For $200., you can get a name brand piece. If you want to drop down to under $150., I would look at revolvers. Being somewhat more simple in design, you could go with a grade "B" brand and still have something reliable.

    Just my opinion.

Also, they're made from zinc castings. Try to avoid any other guns you come across made from zinc as well.

    Love them Beavers
