here is the information i have been able to come up with. in h&r catalog #12 copyright 1913 (i don't have access to catalog # 11) a small bore double barrel hammer double gun was offered in 20, 28 gauge and .44 shot cal. next is a 1916 price list and it shows same gun in 20,24,28 gauges and .410-44, finally catalog # 14 copyright 1922 the small bore double barrel hammer gun is not listed.
since this time frame is just before and after ww1 my best guess would be your shotgun was manufactured between 1915 and 1920 (reason for the date of 1915 is that is the year h&r introduced their small frame single barrel shotgun in .410-44). this is as close as i can get for now.
what these catalogs do not say is if these double guns were actually manufactured by h&r or someone else.
