Ordered a couple S.A.M. (shooting arms corporation) .45's and got them today from Century. These are the "elite" pistols I am referring to. They are made in the Phillipines and cost dealers around $259.00. Lemme tell you that these pistols are sweet, very well tooled and manufactured, many nice features, a most exceptional value for the money. The Phillipine pistols have recieved negative rap in the past, they have drastically improved their product and now offer the best 1911 a pistol for the money on the market. P.S., I do not work for Century! Dealers need to snap em up, buyer need to check em out.[:D]

I'll be interested in hearing from you after you put a few hundred rounds through them. Looks and finish can be very deceptive.
There are some very nice looking guns out there, however, if you spent more time clearing jams, picking up magazines, and figuring out misfires they ain't a hell of a lot of fun. Lets see how they do after 20 or so boxes of ammo. If you still rave about them I might check one out. I heard great things about the CETME's when they appeared. The one I got was was JUNK. Now, if it's not an FN or an H&K
I loose interest real fast.
