Does anybody know of a source for the odor-free version of Break-Free CLP?

God, I hope not. I like my guns to smell of weapons oil and I like my women to smell of, well, woman.

    Jim,

I'm with p3, we used to joke that the women we dated should wear a drop of Hoppes behind each ear as perfume!

Seriously, the only low odor CLP is M Pro-7 and please note that I said low odor, not odorless.

    http://www.mp7.com/NCLP.htm

"When used in conjunction with M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner for deep cleaning and metal conditioning. M-Pro 7 Military Grade CLP provides field cleaning along with superior lubrication and corrosion protection. A step above M-Pro 7 Gun Oil, this advanced oil uses a synthetic thin coat technology. Rated at -55? to 800?+ Fahrenheit, it surpasses MIL-L-63640 and is non-toxic, biodegradable and non-flammable with low odor."

    Best.

Thanks. It'd be OK with me if they made it smell like a REAL woman, but not the rank perfumy stuff. I liked the smell of the old Break-Free, but they changed it a few years back and it smelled seriously bad. Bad enough to set off a migraine, and nothing I'd want to smell on a regular basis for sure. I called them and they said the EPA had made them change the vehicle, and that they had had so many complaints that they were in the process of changing it again to something not so offensive. It's definitely better now, but I still don't tolerate it too well. I saw something that referred to a "military formula, odorless" version of it, but I can't remember where, so I thought maybe somebody else had seen it.

I don't know of a source for the low odor stuff, but you should be aware there are differences between civilian Break-Free and USGI CLP.

    Take a look here: http://groups.msn.com/TheMarylandAR15ShootersSite/clpinformation.msnw

I just picked up a case of the old stuff that had been sitting arround for 10 years, so I am good for a while. I really like the smell of it.
