I Just received a Searcy Alpiner rifle in 6mm Ackley Improved. Can you tell me about Searcy rifles, esp. the Alpiner?

    Butch Searcy has tried several ways over the years to make a ton of money through gunsmithing. His original path included building on the traditional Mauser as a platform. He branched out into importing some Mausers from South Africa which he private labeled and sold as actions only up through highly customized rifles. He has for the last several years been making double gun actions on his own CNC equipment and building them into his idea of the American Double Rifle.

    Without more information, I'm at a loss to add more. Pictures would help a lot. Other than that, you could call Butch and ask him your questions.
