Someone mention a SHTf scenario on another thread, can anyone tell me what this means, or what it has to do with guns? Thanks

    Stuff Hits The Fan.
Most folks who populate the gun forums feel the best answer to the problem is the ability to make a lot of noise. Depending on who you are, I might or might not agree with this plan.

    Poop Hits The Fan

Well SHTF is what the person calling it see it being.

Some see it as the end of the world, or UN coming to town, Martial law, Zombies, ect.

Some are more practical and see it as urban interface fires (like in CA), Hurricanes, floods, ect. Look what happens with guns during Katrina........

A SHTF scenario is one in which you would be called upon to defend yourself, your family, your resources and your property against some threat. The threat could be thugs, gangs, looters from a natural disaster trying to take your women, food, water, other goods, weapons and ammo. The threat could also be the government, gone rogue and trying to confiscate your weapons and other means to defend yourself against or to take up arms against a government gone bad. These things are what these SHTF topics are addressing. That and the very real possibility of a sudden Zombie attack.

What do these topics have to do with guns? Obviously, the guns would be the means to defend yourself against those who pose a threat to you.
