I recently came across this double hammer gun with C. Parker on side plate, BELGIUM LAMINATED STEEL on top rib between barrels, nice tiger walut, checkered pistol grip and forearm, 30 1/2 inch barrels, brass butt plate with deer and two dogs, under forearm number 1536 stamped between barrels, number 182 stamped on right barrel, and 2966 on left barrel. Lots of smaller marking stamped under forearm which snaps off.

Any ideas? Thanks, ED

Damascus wall hanger made in Belgium with Charles Parker's name on it, the name was put on for marketing purposes, to try to delude the gullible into believing they were getting a genuine Parker Brothers shotgun.

Rufe-Snow is correct....There were a bunch of Belguim Gun Makers making Guns and putting Known Quality Names on Guns and selling to the unwary...Most of the Names were Not Spelled exactly the same as the Quality Name...By Changing a Letter there was No Patent or Copy Right infringements.....Some were pretty decent and others were of poor quality...The biggest majority of these guns were sold thru Hardware Stores and Catalog Mail Order Houses ...from 1880's thru to the early 1900's.....Like the Man said...Hang it on the Wall and enjoy its presence in the Gun Case or over the Mantle.........
