What would be a fair price to pay for a like new Rem 700 classic 6.5x55 with 3x9x40 leupold scope. I was told it was only shot to sight in the scope.

My guess would be around 750.00 to 800.00 depending on who you talk to. It all depends on who and how bad someone wants one. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" JM2CW. 257

P.S. If you know someone who has one and they want to sell it, and you do not want it, give them my e-mail address. mycaliz257@hotmail.com

Clair: I bought a NIB .222Rem for 500.00. I thought this was a very good price. In these guns the caliber is everything, some hot some flop.

I bought the Rem 700 varmit(22-250) for $500.00 new in box at the range. Maybe this will give you some help.
Note- I had to add a $250.00 scope, $50.00 bipod, and scope flip covers. So take into account these are extra.

6.5x55 desireable cal. I would say the gun used is 450-500 and the scope used 150-175. I would say the package would be worth 600.
