I believe you can purchase mainspring tools thru brownells.

A large screwdriver with a shallow "V" ground in the blade, hook one side of the "V" in the hole at the rounded end of the spring cap, push forward until the cap will slip into frame, I have several 24Vs and had to engineer a tool myself, this may not be as good as Brownells, but with practice, it is easy to slip the spring Assy. in and out.

Thanks for the replies guys!Fyi,I have contacted brownells,Numerich, and the small arms shop, none of which know of a tool.Just to keep you informed,i also posted on another site and thus far the most practicial advise is to cock the hammer, drill thru the plunger pin and seat, and instal a slave pin. Of course this comes a little late for me seeing i have 4 of these apart right now. Another piece suggested useing a drill press to compress the assy.,which would be great if I were smart enough to have predrilled as indicated. Thanks again and I am interested in any other methods out there!Wade
