witness ?

I was wondering if anyone has one of the tanfoglio witness handgun in a 9mm. I see them on gunbroker.com for around $300. Is this a good inexpensive carry or is there someting else for the same money that is better? Thanks

    Personally, I think you'd have trouble finding a better gun for the same price, and some that cost more are not as good. I have an older 9mm version, called a TA-90, and a Witness in .45 ACP. Both are outstanding. I sold a Witness 9mm with the Wonder Finish to a customer recently, and he liked it so much he brought a friend in for another.

    I would agree with the others, but also suggest that you look at the CZ-75 which is the pistol that tangfolio copied to make their witness line. They are only 50-100 more and the fit and finish is out of this world for a gun in that price range.

    Have a witness 9mm compact, fun shooting gun and would make a good conceal.

    chiseler, I have looked quite a bit at inexpensive guns for concealed carry. The Witness seems to do exactly what I need, fairly lightweight, fairly heavy duty and should take some abuse, fairly concealable, and for me what made me choose it as my next pistol to buy, is that they offered it in 10mm - a semi-rare, but very powerful semi-auto round balistically equalivelent to a .357 mag.
    If the gun can shoot that powerful 10mm, then shooting a .9mm would be a cake walk for it!

    Witness is a great gun. My best friend has one and loves it. He got it new for $275 about 5 years ago with 3 hi-caps. I bet the price has come up on em but they are worth it.

    a buddy of mine startred with the tanfoglio in 45, and liked it so well he bought three more 2 in nine and the 3rd a compact 45.
    He had a problem with the 1st one but sent it back and they made the repair free of charge and shipped it back direct to his door.
