think i hurt anything?

while shooting blue rock with a friend, he dry fired my springfield\stevens double barrel a couple times before i asked him not to do that because of possible firing pin damage. ive always avoided this practice. both sides worked after he did this, so i;m hoping for the best. do you think anything was harmed?...thanks for your imput.

    Probably not. It is best to avoid dry firing, or use snap caps, but in all likelihood the care you have given it will stand it good stead and the couple of shots will not have harmed it. Often the harm occurs when the tip of the pin snaps off, and the damage is immediate.
