I recently came upon a 38 special Police Positive Colt, that has not been fired, no cylinder marks etc. The only thing not original on this piece is that it has a light, light green plastic front insert, in the front sight. any idea as to the value???????? No box or papers. Hope you can give ame a rough idea.
I also have a Colt 38 Special Diamondback, 6", Blue, New in box with papers. It has a Red front sight insert, everything else is original. Help me value this PLEASE!!!)][[:0][:0])]

    My OPINION:

$250 for first and $275 for second. Of course, to get these prices, they may have to run on the auction for awhile. For a quick local sale, take $50 off each. I am not an expert, just a gun trader.

I WOULD GIVE $450.00 FOR THE DIAMONDBACK.

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

My book says the value of the police positive is from 285-315. I didnt find the diamondback with the 6" barrel only the 2 1/2- 4-inch one which shows to be worth 325.
