Hello everyone:

Perhaps someone can help.

.22 short Colt Deringer, gold plated frame, anodized (?) barrel, walnut grips, red velvet lined metal clam-shell like case with fabric cover.
serial 130xx D

excellent to near mint condition

A realistic market value would be most appreciated.
Also, would this qualify for C & R status?

Thanks

The guns with a "D" suffix on the serial number were made from 1959 to 1963. Cased alone and not in a pair of sequentially numbered sets, these guns are not generating a lot of interest generally, and this is reflected in their price. In 100% condition, the Blue Book says $175. However, I have seen them sell for between $125.00 to $200.00 at Gun Shows and locally. Sold a Cased pair a while back for $399.00. Hope this helps! Oh, not sure about a 45 year old gun qualifying for a C&R type transfer, etc. Someone else might be able to help on this.

The Colt Lord and Lady deringers are listed specifically in the C&R list. Why?? Dunno, but be happy! Emery
