Hopefully your Ithaca A & B has been registered with the Feds during the amnesty (12/68). If not your SOL. At least you can get big bucks out of the holster, if it's original to the A & B it's considered rare and highly sought after!

    Ouch!

What you just bought was big trouble in a little holster. If not registered, then there's no way to make it legal and you might be an invited guest to a federal facility of their choice. That and a huge fine.

I don't think the feds are seriously looking for such items, but they are illegal and you should be aware of that fact. The gun can be permanently disabled, but I wouldn't bother. It would end up either in a very deep lake or in a place where it would be out of sight and far from curious hands.

Too bad such items were banned, but that's part of what makes the few legal one's worth so much.
