well here i go...i think i have a stevens 315..reciever has a small duck engraving on one side along with the name stevens. other side has patented april 20, 1915...inside reciever are #'s h16210 and a small letter g...also a letter i with a circle around it on bottom of reciever..hand guard has the same markings on metal and wood..barrel has same marking#'s...but also has the letter p in a circle in two places..also has the letter b on the catch for the forearm on the barrel. i need to know the model and if anyone has a set of barrels for this.(28-30-32).it's a 16 gauge...the barrel set i have has been cut(18.25) but the rest of the gun is mint.... i know its not worth much but didn't pay alot for it..thanks for your help.. tom

Even though a fairly inexpensive gun at the time, there was a degree of hand fitting. Tubes will interchange, but probably not as well as might be expected. Prepare yourself for some work and remember that you can't make a loose fit tight without being creative.

The problem I see is that the cost of new tubes and fitting will probably equal what you'll pay for a whole gun.

PS... Not engraved. Roll stamped or etched. More likely the former.
