Win Model 12, 16 barrel, pump/slide assembly

I have an old Win Model 12, 16 ga and have also acquired an extra modified barrel w/extension tube. The tube needs to be screwed down on the extension tube about a 1/4 inch more to line up the sights, but it seems very tight (compression threads?) and may need to be done by a gunsmith. Your thoughts?
Also, I want to be able to just twist this second barrel onto the Model 12, so I think it would be best to locate and install an entire slide/pump assmebly including the shell cutoff and a second forend assmebly. What do you think and where should I look for the parts? I am thinking it may be best and less expensive to just buy another old Model 12 for parts. I could also disassemble the origianl barrel from the pump assembly and then reinstall it on the second barrel, but it seems like that would take a bit of time and effort, right?
Thanks,
Dave
