Has anyone had any experience with Burris Signature variable scopes with the lighted reticle? How do they compare with the regular ones without that feature?

looking at a 4X Burris Mini on E-Bay, but don't know much about it. Can somebody tell me if this is a decent scope. It also has an adjustable objective, swhich seems kind of odd for a fixed 4X. Any info on this scope would be appreciated. One more question. Would this be an adequate scope to put on a Rem 673 in 350 Rem Mag? Thanks for all your help.

I bought A Burris scope used. Its a Signature series scope 4-16 x 44. It has the day light and twilite setting. It looks to be the Posi-lock version. What is posi-lock and what does it do?

I have several and love them. The clarity is excellent. About 135-140 would be about what I would pay used in good condition. JM2CW. 257

That's because they don't make a 38mm lensed scope in the 'Fullfield' model. Go here: http://www.burriscompany.com/

They used to in the Fullfield but I do not think they did in the Fullfield II. I am not sure though. 257

Hows this,....The Burris scope gives a picture quality of many of the high end scopes due to it's internal optics being 40% larger than comaprably priced scopes. This provides a very bright picture and lots of light transmission ability. This does however come at a cost,...which is in the form of reduced internal adjustment capability. The Burris 16x scope only has 32" of total adjustment (16" from center) and the 6-24 and 8-32x models offer only 22" or (11" from center). All this means far less distance capability,..even with tapered bases.

Now, if you are going to set your rig up at "X" inches high at 100yds and hold over/under, then this is not a concern,....but if you are planning on "clicking" to your target,..you will get maybe 600-650yds out of the internal adjustments.
