We have a M1 Carbine with the following markings:
Inland Mfg. Division on receiver. Bayonette lug has the letters EM-Q.
Serial # 5258*** . Front barrel band MMO. Stock and barrel in great shape. Anybody with any ideas of whatr we have and the market value ?
    Thanks.

We need all stock markings & the kind of wood; same for handguard. Is rear sight a flip sight, or adjustable for elevation & windage? Markings on other parts would help: front sight, trigger housing, bolt, op rod.

I assume that you don't have a muzzle wear gauge, but do you have a single round of USGI .30-06 ammo? You can use that as a "poor man's" muzzle wear gauge by sticking it point first in the muzzle; measure how much of the copper jacket still shows. If 1/4" shows, it's close to new; if 1/8" shows, it's used, but still good; if no copper shows, the barrel probably needs replacement.

At this point, though, I suspect that you have a US arsenal rebuilt carbine that would sell in the $450-550 range.
