AR15 question?

my buddy brought over a ar15 w/ a rockriver upper and a plastic lower that had no brand name on it i was stumped on who makes a plastic lower reciever,anybody know

    Are you sure it wasn't carbon fiber?

    no sir it was hard plastic that is why im so stumped ive never seen a plastic lower it's so odd?

    Marine- Cavalry Arms makes a molded plastic lower for the AR if I recall.

    I had one of the matel toy m16's when I was about 12years old I thought it was pretty cool. I think it was 1967 or 68 got it for christmas. Wonder what those toy rifles would be worth these days?

    Q, A friend and I were talking about this post lastnight.Maybe it was a blank receiver that someone got and started to make a firearm and just did not finish, then your friend got it? I think the FEDS say you need to have a name of the manufacturer or maker and a serial number that you get from the them on the reciver. If JudgeColt reads this.... He will know.[:)]
