I purchased a hoppes Gun & Reel silicone cloth tonight. Its the best three dollar purchase I have ever made. I bought a used hand gun that looked a little rough but once I used this clothe on the outside of it it looked awsome. I am sold on this thing now and will use it from now on. I now this isn't a gun question but I had to post this.

Been using one of those cloths for several years when I work the gunshows checking at the door. After your gun is tagged and taped it gets wiped down to remove oils and and handed back to you. Use it on my own too. They are nice!

I think I have one for every bag, case and box I take to the range. Nothing beats a shinny weapon!

I have used them for Years, and I have never seen any rust on the out sides of my guns, when I used to rub them down with oil and leave them alone for a year, I had surface rust. THEIR GREAT

Last thing I do before returning any of my firearms to the safe is wipe it down with a silicone rag to remove body oils/finger prints left from my hands.
