.458 WIN. Mag ?

A friend of mine has a Ruger M77 .458 WIN. MAG. He bought it years ago from a man who needed some money to fix his car. We don't know much about this gun. Is it still being made, how much it is worth? How can we find out the year it was made (serial # is 73-53989). Any help would be appreciated.[8D]

depends on condition ,, about $400.00, take it to a gun shop,, do you have pictures , are you looking to sell??,,,

The gun has never been fired. It is in near new condition. I do not think he willing to sell it at this point

[:)]we had one in the early 80s, 2 shots & splitsville in the rec. tang (pistol grip) area on the stock. off to a gunshow to trade it in "chuckles"
yep the other 18 shots & new reloading dies are still sitting here.

Heck of a gun to keep locked up. Get it out and go with the above 45 - 70 load and have fun with it you should be the only one on your block with one [:D]
