I am looking for a colt commander limited edition 38 super with pewter grips. Any idea how to find this special gun? websites to look up? anything??

    Hello there is not info about all of the many special edition Colt Pistols. One place you might try is Cheery's fine guns in greensboro N.C. they had colt make up many special runs but most were SINGLE ACTION ARMY

    You can look at the online auctions like Gunbroker, & other sites that I can't name here.

    Or, check the gun newpapers: The Gun List & Shotgun News.

    But, realistically, the odds of your finding one are pretty slim. There were probably only a few hundred made, like many Colt special editions, & most owners are holding on to them until they appreciate to the amount that they originally paid for them. Unfortunately, most of them won't be alive when that happens.
