Beretta White Onyx or Weatherby Athena III ??

Hello everyone! I've been a frequent viewer of Gunbroker but I'm new to the forum. I've got a question regarding a couple Over/Under shotguns. Which is a better gun - the Beretta White Onyx or the Weatherby Athena III? Why? What are the pro's and con's of each? I want a 12 gauge with either a 26" or 28" barrel. It will be used to hunt dove and quail and to shoot skeet. Why these two particular guns, you ask? Well, to make a long story short, my company is going to buy me a nice O/U and these are the only two choices I have. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hmmm? A Porsh or a Mercedes??? I think your friends will be more impressed if you say Weatherby. Some life decisions are really tough.

Personally, I'd take the Beretta. Seems to me the Weatherby's had some issues with the firing pins, ect. a few years ago, but I don't remember if it was the Athena or the Orion. I've shot a demo Weatherby and didn't like the 'feel'. Probably just me, but I would certainly try to shoot or at least look both over before deciding.

Weatherby has had issues with their shotguns as mentioned above. I have a friend that wouldn't take another if you gave it to him. Another vote for BERETTA!
