400 cor-bon feeding problems -need help

I bought a supposed drop in cor-bon 400 barrel for my 1911. It dropped in and assembled ok but the cor-bon bottle nose cartridge gets hung up on the bottom lip of the barrel feed ramp. I polished the feed ramp but is still wont chamber when the slide is dropped. Looks like the bullet is not angled high enough in the magazine to seat into the chamber. Any suggestions. What kind of bullets are you using? Are they hollow points? Try fmj. It also sounds like your having mag problems. Try a differnt mag from another company, many gunshops will have many differnt mags you can try.

You have magazine trouble or a frame that is not a colt and the magazine well is out of spec. in relationship with the slidestop pin hole this is a common problem with some of the CLONES. A colt 1911 if set up correctly will feed sized empty cases 100% . Do not cut any metal off the feed ramp or you might have the borrom of the case blow. "PRAISE THE HARD-BALL GUN"

This is a real good cartrage and try to put a barrel in your 1911 without haveing it fit by a good gun smith is a waste of time. If you want a tack driver give it to a good gun smith, have him get a custom barrel for it, when you get it back you will be real happy! If you just want to plink, go ahead and play with it.
