I just bought some Silver Bear 9mm 145gr hollow point for practice ammo in my Sig. These are not steel cases but they look funny, not brass, more like copper. I put a file to it and it is not coated. Anyone know what this metal is? Thanks, Jim

Hello most ammo made outside the USA use different alloy for their cases. Other then steel that is coated but will stick to a magnet most will be brass but brass is an alloy so the % of one metal may vary thus a different color.
