sounds to me ,at about $800.00. the scope that you have is basically worth nothing to someone who is looking for this particular type of rifle. meaning that the rifle is worth that and you can keep your scope for something else.

I will agree with Redman that you should keep the scope. In many ways it detracts from the max value of the rifle. It may be a fine scope but many buyers will think Tasco=CHEAP and not be willing to pay anything like top dollar. I wouldn't want to place a number value on the rifle as value differs in different parts of the country. I'd put a % value as compared to a new one. So the question is weather your rifle is worth more or less then a new one. As I believe that this rifle, or a close cousin, is still in production then I would expect that it should be worth something like 75% to 90% depending on condition and use. Autos, like the Rem 740, seem to wear out in a very final way so their value can drop off as time goes on. And in the end there is not finite value, it all comes down to what cash in hand you can get for it. Good luck......

What an picken minute. Tasco are good scope. What model do you have. They may not be the world greatest scope, but they are alot better then the cheap Chiness ones or like wise. I have an Tasco Whitetail Classic on top a NEF 308Win heavy barrel rifle and works great and never had an problem. I have shoot over 10,000 rounds out of this rifle. I even had to get another barrel for it Now the lower model are junk, like the Pronghorn, they should only be on 22 rifles. He may get an few dollar more if it was the high end Tasco scope. Just my 2 pennies worth.

Like ERN98 said, someone looking at a Browning rifle with a Tasco scope on it is akin to trying to get top dollar from a Bentley with a Kia hood emblem on it,CHEAP[:D]
