next up in my pile of guns my grandfather just gave me:

Hi-Standard H-D Military, ser #256497 with the 6.5" bbl, plus I have the 4.5" bbl separate, two magazines (one in an original hi-standard box), a leather holster stamped H.H.Heiser Maker Denver, Colo, and a few boxes of old .22 ammo.

what looks like scratches in the first pic is actually just finger oil... the finish is quite good, a polish and light oil and this gun will look nice. The long barrel has good finish, but the short one has a lot more wear.

Now, the questions:

what is this spread worth?

anyone who has this gun, how do I get the takedown lever to go back up when putting the slide back on? I cant get it behind the recoil spring...

    Heiser holsters are getting very collectible,especially if it fit s that model gun I would think.
    I don't own blue books,but I'd like to shoot from the hip and say;
    gun and barrel 375.00
    holster ,"sight unseen" 150.00

    just curious how i'd do if purchasing without "book learning".
    I"ll watch the post for more knowledgable anwwers.:)

    give CAS a try,it is a hoot!!
