next up in my pile of guns my grandfather just gave me:
Hi-Standard H-D Military, ser #256497 with the 6.5" bbl, plus I have the 4.5" bbl separate, two magazines (one in an original hi-standard box), a leather holster stamped H.H.Heiser Maker Denver, Colo, and a few boxes of old .22 ammo.
pics:
what looks like scratches in the first pic is actually just finger oil... the finish is quite good, a polish and light oil and this gun will look nice. The long barrel has good finish, but the short one has a lot more wear.
Now, the questions:
what is this spread worth?
anyone who has this gun, how do I get the takedown lever to go back up when putting the slide back on? I cant get it behind the recoil spring...

I don't own blue books,but I'd like to shoot from the hip and say;
gun and barrel 375.00
holster ,"sight unseen" 150.00
just curious how i'd do if purchasing without "book learning".
