Am looking for the 1900 Luger flat mainspring. GPC is out, no other sources available that I know of. Anyone here has one available or knows how to obtain? Help, please.

    A skilled gunsmith could make one but the costs could be higher than you might want to pay.

    Most gunsmiths now days are "parts replacers" and don't want to get involved in time-consuming work like making screws and springs. There isn't enough money in it for the time it takes.

    My humble 2-cents worth,

    Hairy;
    I'll check with a gunsmith I've known for years. He may well have one. Bill has been around forever. Lots of parts even GPC won't have.
    If he does I'll get you his Phone number. He will make springs
    when need be. He is one of the last old school smiths.

    Kill all the lawyers and the world will be much better for it.

    You might check with Ralph Shattuck... (Capt. Kirk has posted his contact information several times). I know that when he was still up in Michigan he had a large stockpile of spare parts he used in his restorations.... Ralph Shattuck is located in Phoenix, Arizona and has several address's you can write to...Here they are
    <Ralph@WorldOfLugers.com>
    and <Ralph@lugers.com>....Tell Him that You are a Member of the FORUM'S....and keep in Mind that He's The Author of the book...World of Lugers....
    Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

    Posting a 'want' on lugerforum.com might help.
