We have a J Stevens A&T co. 20 Ga. SxS hammerless shotgun. It has demascus barrels. The only identifications are on the left side of the receiver. J Stevens A&T Co. Chicopee Falls Mn Ga. Pats applied for. All help appreciated. We need the wood for this one!

    J. Stevens started in 1864 as J. Stevens & Co. and in 1888 was incorporated as the J.Stevens Arms & Tool Co. in Chicopee Falls, MA (NOT Mn). It operated until 1920 when it was taken over by Savage Arms., and has operated as an independent division of Savage ever since.

The produced a large number of utility-grade SxS double barrel hammerless box-lock shotguns between 1877 and 1988 in 10, 12, 16, 20 guages and .410 bore.

Yours, having damascus barrels, would be a blackpowder era gun and would not be safe using modern shotgun loads.

The only place that I can think of that might have wood for your gun would be http://www.gunpartscorp.com/

If this is your gun (http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=089Zz311), looks like they might have what you need.

If Gun Parts Corp does not have it, you are looking at having it made up by a stock maker, and likely the shotgun is not worth that expense. They run from about $100 to $250 as wall hangers, the value depending upon condition.
