Hello. I recently was in market. For a varmint rifle or should I saw plinking gun. I got 10/22 and was planning to get the 10/22 magnum, but I just came across a marlin Marlin 17VS .17hmr ss/laminated stock. How is this rifle compares to others. And how is the .17hmr and a varmint or target caliber thanks Mark

The Marlin .17 HMR is an exceptional bargain in my opinion. About $320 or less NIB and very accurate right out of the box. The scope rings that came with mine would not accomodate the 3-9x40mm scope I chose and the trigger needs a little work. The grey laminated stock and stainless combo is not at all hard on the eyes. By the way the magazines are interchangable with the Marlin .22 magnum bolt gun's magazines.

Worry is the interest humans pay on the debt of miscalculation.
